i hear that t-mo will allow opera mini on the nokia 6263. but it will not work. my phone software version is the latest, i think, wich means the third party apps should work, right? i need to know how to check the software version of my phone and how i can get opera mini to work on my 6263. thx yall. i read the huge thread on debranding the 6263 but when i try and run the phoenix software it sais, "no t-dongle detected." so thats as far as i get with that process. also, will t-mobile update my nokia 6263? i hear that if it is updaed to the latest firmware i will be able to use 3rd party apps and opera mini. will they update this phone for me so that i can use 3rd party software?

usually it doesn't matter, as long your cell have Java platform you can use opera mini, the problem usually in your phone provider, just try to ask them.

Run Nokia Software Updater (NSU) and re-install the 5.20 firmware. That should let you install and run Opera Mini.

i run the updater but it sais i have the latest firmware wich,i checked it, it is 5.20. i just got the phone about 1 month ago.

ok i used phoenix program and i flashed the phone with the default firmware wich did not get rid of any tmobile apps not even fav fives. also i have new options for push to talk and can now dl 3rd party apps and allow them to access the web. but this to me is not a true debranding. i want to debrand this phone and get rid of all tmo apps and restrictions, any sugestions?
