I am looking at an unlocked Nokia n95 8gb but need to know a few things.
1) is the phone 3g
2) how hard is it to get sms, mms and email for at&t working.
3) where do I get the settings for the sms, mms and email
5) will I be able to access my media net home page and how would I do that.

Thanks in advance.

Many Nokia phones, including the Nokia N95, include a database of the settings for most wireless GSM carrier and wil set up the phone when you insert the carriers SIM card. It can also se up many email accounts. There are several versions of the Nokia N95. You must get a version with the North American firmware to insure that you have the correct AT&T 3G bands. Those bands are HSDPA 850 MHz and 1900 MHz. All of the models have the four GSM bands 850/900/1800/1900 MHz.

If you use the proxy, you can access the MEdia Net home page but all of the features available to an AT&T-branded phone might not be accessible due to the lack of the proper security certificates.

You would want to get the N95-4. It has 3G that works on AT&T. Upon initial setup, it should automatically download MMS/Internet settings. Email can be setup using the built-in client.

There is also an entire forum here dedicated to devices using the S60 operating system. There are several threads there about the N95 and it's variants. Also what to look out for to protect yourself from buying a fake.
