Motorola i776 Mp3 Ringtones?

I am having problems being able to download ringtones from my pc...
I use both Webjal and Labjal, and am able to transfer mp3 tones to my i776,but sounds wayyy to slow. Any ideas on exactly what bit rate,Hz...etc to use when creating ringtones? (and when mp3 does download to i776, it doesn't appear in "Ringers" folder.But it is in media center with no option to "Assign as Ringer")
The ringtones i make seem to work on every other phones i have downloaded them to. I HATE Nextel now...lol
