Plans/Features Questions

Hello all! It has been a while since I last posted here.

I currently have two accounts with ATT Wireless but I am most likely moving back to VZ Wirelss. The last time I had an account with VZ was maybe six or seven years ago, and I was with them for several years prior to that. (Going back to Bell South and my Moto Ultra Classic H in 1992!)

Anyway I have looked through the various plans available and I will probably go with a Nationwide Family Connect Plan, with 4 lines. Looking at the features for the various plans I am unfondly reminded of how little fun was involved in the past trying to work around all the barriers VZ used to place around their phones and features. Crippled BT, forcing GIN, forcing their "Mobile Web" by restricting users to only mobile versions of a very limited number of sites, etc. So now I am looking at the current plan features and trying to read between the lines to see what they really mean.

E.g., it says that I need the Connect level NW plan in order to set up email on a phone. However it says it is their "Mobile Email", which consists of a few web mail sites, Hotmail and the like, none of which I would ever use.

So here are the questions I can think of for now:

That's all, at least for now. I appreciate any comments and/or advice!

Jim

The VZW blackberries (not including the storm) are all on 4.5.77
I am not sure what the storm is on, I don't follow all the storm talk.

VZW does give their BB OS updates when VZW is ready to release them. They just released the OS for the 8830, however I have had the current OS for my 8330 for a couple of months. I hear that OS 5.0 will be on the new BB being released whenever VZW decides to release them.

I don't know the site off the top of my hand, but if you google Verizon Blackberry Updates, you can see on the website what OS is out for each BB and when the OS was released.

One would think once the new BB are released that the 8830 and 8330 OS may update as well to 5.0 if that is what is on the new BB.
