OK...I searched around a little, but I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for, so please, don't bite my head off because of my stupid question...never had to mess with iDen phones much.

Friend of mine gave me her i860 for me to get her pictures and ringtones off of it and onto her new i880 (this friend doesn't upgrade much

). I found a bunch of iDen utilites for free at Motorola.com like a phonebook tool, a media tool and USB drivers...I see posts about a program called WebJal, is this a better tool? Also, would the same USB cable for the 860 work with the 880?

Yes its the same cable. You use Webjal to load ringtones, java apps, and wallpaper. The media manager will pull photos/videos off the phone.

The person who gave the i860 to me gave it to me without a SIM in it. I can get connected to it (Media Downloader doesn't error out) it just shows nothing on the phone. Should I get the user's SIM back and try this again? WEbJal seems to work as well, but I jsut want to get things OFF the phone not the other way around.

you can't take the ringtones off the phone, only photos.
