sorry if im posting this in the wrong section please let me know if i am

my 6126 was working perfectly before my niece got ahold of it and completly bent the top half of the phone (where the LCD screen is) backwards. now the phone wont even come on. ive taken it apart and noticed that on the side of the screen where the small LCD is the thin orange cable type thing is torn. i can see why the screen wont work but still dont understand why the phone isnt turning on. Any ideas on how to fix it. I have tmobile and im only 4 months into my service and really dont wanna pay full retail for another phone.

Okeh...
1. An insight ....

2. May not be the first time this has happened.

3. A repair shop will want $10 for the cable and $30-$50 labor for the time involved. My refurbed 6126 was $20 (from ATT.)

this is the first time anything has happened to the phone. i bought it brand new, i dont wanna spend that much money for a shop to do it when i know some one can give me some ideas on what may have happened. and att no longer has the 6126 as a refub on the site.

1. ...
2. I understand. Maybe your carrier will give you a flat rate repair.
3. I can't see the damage from here. You could gamble on the parts - maybe that cable is all you need.
4. Maybe your carrier has it - but chose not to list on the web site. Ask.

You could still buy a used phone from e-bay or craigs' list. Perhaps something besides the 6126 will please you.

If you're not satisfied with your pghone, just change it for something else less expensive to repair and with more options from the carrier
