Anyone successfully activate GMAIL IMAP on the E71x? If so, can you share your settings?

Never mind, I took the piece of junk back.

Shoulda gotten the unbranded/unlocked E71. Lesson learned.

Yeah, never buy a Nokia smart phone again. The hardware was awesome. The OS was crap.

Actually, ATT's OS that is crap.

No it isn't.

Clearly, crap is in the eye of the beholder, I am not sure that I would classify Symbian OS as crap, however it is not as polished as say Blackberry OS or the iPHONE's os.

Symbian OS is very powerful and is extremely configurable which many other OSes are not, but that omni-configurability comes with a downside a fairly unpolished surface.

I think that with other operating systems people can waste a hell of a lot of time getting their systems to work like the Nokia OEM product, to be as configurable and visibly quick in the code.

ATT's modifications, unfortunately, removed some of what we enjoy about the OEM Nokia E71-2, and made it hard to get some of the great add-ons to work. I have yet to read anywhere that anybody's been able to get Conversations to work on the E71x. The non-Conversations interface leaves the average user feeling that he is dealing with a stark, uninteresting interface from some years ago.

I have compared my E71-2 side by side with a friend's E71x, and I'm very happy I have the E71-2, I think.
