I just received my new e71x from COU... I decided to order one after they pushed out that new IT service book to my Bold, I must say i cant stand the crippled software.
Does anyone know of a way to reflash the software to the original e71?
Oh and how do you think they would feel if i changed the housing on it?

i dont know about the reflash question, but why would at&t care if you change the housing?

You may want to try this question in the Nokia forum as well. Someone there might know more about the reflashing question.

I don't believe it's possible to flash the E71-2 fw to the E71x.
