Replace *just the lens* on the E71

Just got my e71 and I've already got a nice gouge on the screen :-(. I'm not interested in replacing the lens just yet, as I'd like to wait until I have a little less than 355 days left on my warranty before I void it, but I was just wondering about this for the future...

I've seen plenty of tutorials on removing and/ or replacing the faceplate on the E71. Usually as folks remove the faceplate, the lens (screen "glass") comes off with the faceplate. However, I noticed that cnn.cn sells just the lens as well as the entire faceplate, and it costs much, much less (http://cnn.cn/shop/nokia-grey-steel-lens-p-5787.html). I assume this means it's possible to remove the lens from the faceplate and replace it with another (why else would they sell it?). Can anyone who has cracked open their E71 speak to how easy this is? Does the lens look easily removable? I just don't want to buy only the lens and find that the only way to remove it is to actually break it off or something. Thanks!
