I have a friends broken (broken in half!) Verizon Razr phone. Despite missing the display half, the phone still works and Im trying to pull the pictures and video that was taken with the phone. I dont know anything about verizon or motorola (prefer nokia and Windows Mobile mostly) but when I plug in the USB to the computer, I get popups recognizing it as a modem but cannot find any way to browse the phone. Does this kind of phone require any special software to be able to do this? I havent been able to find anything on Motorolas or Verizons website. Verizon seemed to sell a program for this but is that the only way to be able to access a phones files on a PC?

download p2kcommander to be able to browse files and download them to your computer.

If it only pictures and videos, you can also use Motorola Phone Tools to download them, you can find old versions on the net and upgrade them to the latest for free.
