W800i Blank Screen

Hello there,

This is my first post on this forum, and I was wondering if someone could help me.

My girlfriend's W800i recently blanked out on her mid-call. Since then she has not been able to turn her phone back on.

When I plug her phone in, or connect the USB, I get the Sony E. logo, followed by a white screen that appears and disappears over and over again.

When I plug the USB into the PC the computer notices the phone's memory card reader for a split second, and then loses it.

Whilst it would be good to get the phone running again, my main concern is accessing the contacts, as I've just found out that she has NEVER backed up her phone contacts.

If we can just copy the contacts out then we can buy a new Sony... but so far most solutions for this problem that I've found online would result in the loss of all data.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what we should do.
