Number parking with call forwarding?

I'm looking for a way to forward my number to a different phone long-term. I've got a number that I've had for almost 10 years, so I definitely want to keep it. I got a new job, and I'm required to have a company phone. I don't want to transfer my number to them, because I know some people have had a hard time getting their number back in that situation, especially if they don't leave the job on good terms (not planning on it, just being careful).
I really don't want to carry 2 phones. Is there a way I can just forward my current number to my new phone, so any incoming calls ring straight through? I don't want to port my number to a voip service, because then I face the same problem of not being able to get it back. I've seen a few services that do what I want, but they're limited to about 500 min/month. I use at least 4 times that.

Its not a cheap solution, but boost mobile unlimited (fixed cost of $50/month) would be an option, as it offers both conditional and unconditional call forwarding.
Port your number to Boost mobile. Program the phone to forward all calls to your new number. Turn off said phone. Remember to pay it monthly.

it may not be a long-term solution, but most mobile carriers do offer standard call forwarding. iirc, dial *72 then the number you're forwarding to, and calls will ring at the other phone. note you're charged minutes for the line w/ forwarding, but that may be an acceptable trade off to carrying two devices. hope this helps.
cheers,
