i9 usb connection problems...

I don't know if any other i9 users are having problems with usb connectivity... when I plug in my phone with a usb data cable it does not read the memory card. When I go to settings>connections>usb I click on memory card access and get the following error "unable to access memory card using usb" when I try another option on the list like application access I also get a similar message "unable to allow application access using usb connection"... the only one in the list that works is when I select data modem...

Is my phone not working properly? or am I making a mistake on the settings? If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated... BTW my friends i9 connects fine in my mac and pc with no problems...

did you download the usb drivers from the motorola website? that may fix it. if not, you are setting it correctly, take it to a service center and have them swap it out. ive had 4 i9s. they all either freeze when im on the internet and restart themselves, it resets itself when its charging, or when i click certain menu items. its a nice phone, but i think a software update to fix this bs is needed immediately.

Isn't there a setting to allow mass storage via usb?

Or was that only for the 8350i?

I have a feeling it might be the cable, I am returning it tomorrow and getting another one... I'll update this thread as soon as I try a new cable.
