Strange occurance - Looking for explaination

I am wondering if anyone could explain the following.

My wife called me to tell me that I sent a text to her that I must have ment for someone else.

The text was identified as coming from my cell @ 12:01 pm. I didnt send the text. I had made a 1 min call ar 11:59 and left a voicemail for a coworker. The next activity on the phone was an incoming call 10 mins later. I was in sole possetion of my phone the entire time.

The text was a clear statement so it wasnt some accidental button mash and accidental send.

Service is verizon

Any ideas?

Not admissible in court but:

1. You may have sent the text at some other time, and it was delayed.
2. Someone may have spoofed the text, possibly at the carrier's website.

I would suggest it was a delayed text as well, that's happened to me and others more than once or twice. It trips people up to say the least!
