Phone exchange

I just bought the alias 2 and have had it for 2 weeks and don't like it very much...is there a way that I could "exchange" my phone for the env3? If so how?

You simply go to a corporate store or call VZW and ask them to do it. As long as you are within the original 30 days of your phone's purchase you can exchange it 1 time for another model (these days that will generally also result in a restocking fee of $35).

Is that all?? Do I have to pay the difference if one phone is more expensive?

Well, yes, there's that too, as is usually the case when exchanging one item for another different one.

What don't you like the Alias2

It just wasn't for me... I text fast and the kwyboard didn't pick up all the letters and it shut off sometimes

Do you get a credit for the difference? I'm thinking about exchanging my new env touch for a dare (don't like the env browser and the fact that I have to open the phone for speakerphone).

If you are changing to a phone that is lower priced then you should get the difference (possibly after any restocking fees, if applicable) credited to you, most likely in the form of your original payment, if possible (or something similar to it, based on VZW's policies).

To get by the restocking fee, can't you just return the phone within the 30 days, wait 3days then go and get a new one?

Technically speaking, that should work.

I just called this morning about returning my EnV Touch for the EnV 3. They lady said I could take it to the store and pay the $35 restocking fee for the exchange or mail it back in.

She if I mail it in I have to wait 30 days before ordering another one to avoid the $35 charge. That sucks a big one.

Why 30 days? The policy is 3 days. Also, you can definitely exchange or actually return at a VZW corporate store instead of mailing it in.

I just bought my EnV Touch from the corporate store and the salesman told me to avoid the restocking fee just return it then wait 3 days and get another phone. He didnt really sound too happy about it but he still let me know.

It's in VZW's own return policy, so they can't really hide that, at least most certainly shouldn't.

Maybe she was talking about 30 days to avoid the restocking fee? I ended up talking to a different person that was real helpful. He sent me out another phone that would be billed to my verizon bill and said when I return the touch I will receive a credit on my charge card.

He also waived the restocking fee because he said I was a VIP member, whatever that is

Well, it's just 3 days to wait to avoid a restocking fee. And yes, VIP customers do not have to pay restocking fees.
