How do I take complete control over the E71x menus?

I understand ATT adds their bloatware, and that's totally fine. Furthermore, with 128 meg of onboard space, I am totally cool with leaving it on there. it's OK by to bloat it all on there.

But it really jams up the menu system which bugs me. I want total total control over it, and I'd settle for being able to create a "junk" folder where I can dump all the garbage. I'd accept that, I'd be happy with that!

But MOST of the programs do not give me the option to move them. Is anyone here aware of a way to take complete control of the menu system?

Neither is complete. Each has limitations. Anyone aware of alternate solutions?

If you search around on google, you will find a way to remove some of those demo (bloatware) programs. I did it successfully.

Thanks Maeldun! good advice. Maybe my google searching isn't as effective as yours, but have any of the searches you've done lead to an answer concerning being able to MOVE unmovable icons into alternate folders, and being able to DELETE the "SHOP" icons?

Thanks iJITSU! That link is a mirror of the links listed above. Is there a followup or anything by this site to address the remaining issues I mentioned?

In particular, the SHOP icons, and the ability to move or delete icons that we currently can not move or delete?

Ah, sorry. Blew right past that. That article is the only thing I've seen so far. I was able to remove all the game bloatware and most of the other AT&T icons, but I could not remove the AT&T Music icon and a couple others. I browsed other folders to see if I could do the same thing (load the app to the SD card and then reformat the card) but didn't find a way to do it.

I haven't yet either. Couldn't find the zip file for commnuity, and the shop icons and even the download icons, nothing to even indicate their existence.

Now, as far as the folders are concerned, I did find a way to remove unremovable folders. All we have to do is empty them and they will disappear. Delete without a problem. This works like gangbusters for ALL folders minus three. The ones with the SHOP icons. Once we get rid of those (and "community". come on guys, why is this one getting special treatment? that's silly!) we are SO 99% there for complete control over our menu structure.
