Is there a HoTTProxy users' forum anywhere anymore? The link on the HoTTProxy web site (to cdmaforums.com) is broken and I was wondering if there is a support community for it anymore. I noticed that the "latest" version is about 4 years old, so I'm guessing the author has moved on.

I had no trouble getting it to work, but I have seen some issues with cookie support (one of the main reasons I need it). I'm sure I can figure it out in time, but it might be helpful to share experiences.

Just wondering...

I would like to get in touch with some user/experts on it as well. I have it working but sometimes it just stops responding to requests and I have to restart it.

Update

In an attempt to get around my problem of HoTTProxy not responding I installed firedaemon. I still locked up after about 36 hours. Firedaemon is supposed to sense a shutdown and run any program like a service but since HottProxy was still running just not responding it did nothing.

I tried a program called NOWWap. It is a proxy server as well but I could not get it to see my custom home page at waphomepage.com. Funny thing was it could get to my humpa page. It doesn't matter since I got pricing for that program and they want tens of thousands of dollars for a few hundred connections.

Anyway, is Hottproxy built to handle multiple connections? Maybe that's the problem.

That's a good question. That would require knowing more about ActivePerl, I have mostly just used perl on Unix and Linux. In fact that is how I have solved most of my problems (so far), by running HoTTProxy on a Linux system instead. I was getting to the point where I needed to modify it anyway, and I didn't want to mess with installing all the ActivePerl stuff on my Windows system.

I'm still curious if a hardy band of HoTTProxy users is communicating out there somewhere...
