UTStarcom 7026 charger question

Why cant i use a regular mini usb charge to charge the phone anyone know?! Seems like that what it uses but Ive tried my Motorola charger and blackberry charger on it.. The phone will come on when connected but not charge.. I even took it to a Cricket store and they tried like 3 different charges on the phone but none worked but i guess the phone is discontinued.. Anyone have any info thanks in advance.
