I listed my phone on Craigslist as a trade. Had someone offer cash for it....

If I accept that, I'm wondering....

Since my phone is still active on my line, if they call to verify ESN, will it show as cannot be activated since I'm still using it or will it show OK because it's not stolen etc.?

I'm thinking the only way to do it would be for us to meet at VZW store, I have to buy my new phone first and activate, then he can activate my old one, OR could I leave the store without activating another phone? Like if I wanted to buy one from someone else later that day?

Answered my own question. Traded with someone on Saturday....walked into VZW store, swapped phones over, no problems, no questions. Very smooth.
