I am completely new to this and hoping someone can help me.
So I just got my SE C905 today from Rogers. When I looked for reviews online, it said this phone had threaded-view SMS. But when I texted, I didn't have 'conversations.' Just normal inbox messages, etc. There is no option for me to view them as conversations. I have read some topics about this and many say I need to update firmware. But since I got it from Rogers, would it be risky or would it cause any internal damage (i.e. locking it, screwing it up)? If anyone knows how I can get the threaded-view for SMS, please guide me. I'm desperate!!!

it's a common issue with some Sony Ericsson phones.

here's what you need to do:

in your case, do not follow step #1 or run SEUS... just follow step #2.

I have tried that and i followed forums on how to use it.
started a2uploader
pressed c or 2+5, plugged usb cable
press filesystem
it detects my phone but the folder never show up on the right panel.

Did you use the newer version of a2uploader? (the one I linked you to)
