I've send my GD87 back to Voda shop for service.
After a few upload and download of my GD87, and reenter for the Vodafone live! setting, I can't get accesss to the Vodafone live! now, so send it back to the Voda for service, will get back in 7-10 days, don't know what firmware that I'll get from them.
Will let everyone know once I get my GD87 back.

They will probably send to CRC and it's likely you'll end up with A22.

it's ok for me because i still have all the firmware save in my pc, but wish they will do me a really updated one.
Thanks.

You should get A39.

Only reason I think you may end up with A22 was that when I phoned CRC, due to some problems upgrading my phone, they said Orange handsets were upgraded to A22 and Voda to A22.
Hopefully this is wrong and you get A39.

yeah..that's right. When my phone came back from Vodafone it was A22 too.

crc upgrade to A-22 free under warrenty if you want A-39 it costs £10.47

not to worry as you can always upgrade yourself to A39 right?
Posted by: ray5liang
yes, I always can upgrade it myself back to A39.
Anywhere thanks everyone here.

it's a pleasure mate!

Yet Orange handsets get upgraded to A39 FOC.
Why the charge for Voda handsets?

I call up CRC and they told me that it is actually regulated by network operators. This would mean that it is up to network operators to decide on which firmware version they want. If they want a lower version, consumers would have to pay for a higher version of the firmware...

I am a bit lost with all this CRC and A39 - I do know that my GD87 is A21 even though I bought it last week. Who should I contact then to upgrade? Is it the Orange or Panasonic?
I do not have a USB cable so is there anything else I can do?
Pleeeeease help
