Here is a thread showing a modded Navy 8100 !! The pics are great. I can't wait to get it tomorrow.

So how did he do that? Is there risk to damaging the phone? Does this guy do this for anyone? How much?

I may be interested in getting that done.

Yes he will do it for anyone. The job he did was great !!! I have my phone and no problems or worries. It was $60 . That includes : LEDS , shipping back to you, Labor . Theres always a risk when modding a phone ,but he did an excellent job and kept in contact with me the whole process.

no he wont mind you calling him. I sent it off on Moday morning. i paid for overnight. He got Tuesday then sent it back tuesday afternoon. I got it wednesday at 1130am CST. sO A total of 3days( 2 1/2). I have told him about you. He should try to contact you. Check your PM's. or call him.

I just realized that my Silver 8100 keypad is silver and not clear like yours. Has anyone done this to a silver 8100? This could work out to my advantage as I don't want my keypad lit up as much as yours.

Have you noticed any negative effect to your battery life?

He can do the silver also. It will may the keys more visible
. He has dont this to a silver 8100 and a 5300. So just give him a call he can let you know.

Here's a pic of my 8100 with blue LEDs.

No change to battery life.

<the leds having a purple tint to them is a quirk of my digicam shooting in near total darkness in macro mode. In person, the LEDs are a deep rich blue. PM me and I will send a few pics taken in native resolution if requested. They are impressive.>
