Sprint to Verizon. Any input?

I'm switching from Sprint to Verizon. I guess technically I already have and my phone arrives Monday. Anybody got anything they feel's important I should know about Verizon, their phones (ordered the Omnia cuz it was free), or customer service?
Anybody know if I can get the activation fee waved somehow?
