Motorola V950 Renegade Ringtone Problems

i have a motorola v950 renegade and i made ringtones from my computer. i just took mp3s and changed the format of them to qcp when i first loaded them onto my phone they worked. i loaded 16 of them onto my phone now only two work when i try to set the rest as ringers it says ASSIGNMENT FAILED DUE TO INSUFFICENT MEMORY ON PHONE. so i tryed deleting all my music on my phone that did not work so i formated my sd card still no luck does anybody know what the problem is im going to try and reset my phone again but i dont think that has anything to do with it. some help would be appreciated thank you
