W995-How to turn off ambient light feature and vibrations while selecting menu icons?

As the title says, I would just like to know how to turn off the display backlighting adjustment with regards to the ambient light.

Also, I'd like to know if I can turn off the vibrations when I'm going through the menu icons.

Lastly, I'm also confused as to whether there is a sat-GPS receiver in the phone, or can nav only be used with data from the cell towers.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is an option to turn off the light sensor. If it really bothers you that much, you could block off the sensor with some tape or something similar (it's the small circle on the top left of the phone).

You can either change the theme if you don't like the vibration, or at least change the icon layout (press menu, the option).

I think that you can only use the navigation feature with data. Not positive on that though. Someone chime in if this is incorrect.

Very informative. What about geo-tagging? Does that require data?

And do you have more details about the nav/data thing? Google has failed me on this one =[
