Your "laziness" is not excused... You want the ringtones- No one else is going to search for them for you.

If you look across the top of the howard forums page, you'll see an orange button that says try clicking it, and viewing results as posts, and not threads. Or since your lazy anyway, just listen to the built in ringtones

I've been playing around with converting old MOD/XM/S3M music files to MMF (via MOD2MIDI, then add the wav samples back in with Yamaha ATS-MA3-SMAF). So far, this is my best results:
"The Body Snatcher" from the shade-bob scene in the Jungly Kitchen demo by Twilight Zone.

Pretty hard on the samples to make them fit in the 8K RAM limit, but this one works pretty well.

Thats not a polyphonic tone, thats a standard nokia rtttl tone

You want a SIMPLE 1 chord version of Funkytown?

This tone came to me courtesy of another HoFo member, G4G3.

This is actually one of Yamaha test tones for the 64chord MA5 sound chip. The tone, however is only 31 chords- and more than playable on MA3 sound 40chord chips like the ones inside the E715

Thank you G4G3 for allowing me to convert this to a MA3 compatible MMF file, and to share it with all the other HoFo members.

The tone sounds pretty darn good, and I think its one of the highest chord tones I personally have. Vibe needed to be set on 4 channels to get satisfactory vibe, and LED only on 1 channel (ch10 if anyone cares). Lowered the volume a bit to reduce some of the "too loud crackling/hissing", but all-in-all nice tone.

IF ANYONE HAS ANYMORE MA5's IN .mmf FORMAT (ONLY .MMF FORMATS) PM ME!

hi friends

i have many midi and mmf tones but voice level is too low. how to increase that. i also used psmp 5 but when i increase volume , no effect occur.

also for the voice tones too, when i convert 8KHz, 16 bit, Mono, the sound goes down, can it be increased with all the above factors. my mobile is C-100.

you'll just have to see for yourself.. there are lots and lots of great mp3 loops back there.. i made some for myself too... some of them are funny and stuff like that... from southpark, simpsons, movies, songs and many more... just check it out ther ok

Anyone have any idea why when i use PsmPlayer to make the rings louder it doesnt make them any more louder then before?

maybe theres another program i could use to do this to the tone, its the same with midi and mmf's

go find a program called psmplay, search it on google and dl it, should be ver 5.0, then just dl a midi, open it up with the psmplay program, goto file, create smaf, and smaf 40chords, then in the options menu, u might have to increase the max size limit if u opened up a long midi song. then click on ok, and save up ur new song.
u can also select vibrator or led and select which channel to assign them to so led/vibrator will activate for the midi channel u selected when u play it on ur phone

you can also open up wav files and convert them to smaf too, but the wav has to be 16bits, 8khz, mono, and you can use file, create smaf, 16chords to make a wav quality ringtone outta that (40chords will not work with wav)

also, most phones got a limit to the size of the smaf u can dl, like samsung has a 32kb limit, so make sure that the smaf file created isnt over the limit, else u get a cryptic error when you dl it to ur phone

if the size is too big, use the scissors icon in the psm play and cut the file so it fits the limit

also if u guys attach the midi files, it will be lots easier to convert em to smaf, cuz i dont need to look for em, just search em up on google, and zip em up and attach em in ur post

i have the llyod banks on fire, and warrior remix in the other ringtone thread. this is where i post most of my tones. ot's the pat$$y's latest and greatest one. so check it out, drop ur request, they wont allow me to upload this file in this thread, so u have to get it from thier. if you want any hip hop and rnb tones request there and i'll drop them for you.

hi im using samsung D410 and i use EASYgprs. if i try uploading a ringtone thats over 40kb it wont go in and my phone can handle up to 64 chord and most of the 64 chord that i see are about 80 -90 kb can ne one help me out with this

I joined the group and am trying it out, but, the .WAV I created with Sound Forge 7.0 won't let me use the Yamaha tool to convert it... Says it "doesn't suppor the WAVE format."

Odd.

I'm dutch and I don't speak russian either, but still I managed to find it... Just put a little bit more effort into it and you'll find it. After all you're the one who wants the ringtone not me. Just look in the MMF section. It should be there..

You've got to have the .wav in the right format for the yamaha tool to convert it. It must be a 8000 or 4000hz, 16 bit, mono file for it to work or you get the unsupported msg.

Ok... here is my problem. I just ran across this thread today and I am in need of some help as I have been trying to do this wap thing forever and have been trying to get help from several different sources. I have wap site setup and I have some mmf tones sitting on the site but when I try and download them I get the "Message Format Unsupported" error. Does anyone know why I am getting that error?

if you download a .mmf withour vibe+led just go to file > open then open the desired .mmf then go to file > create smaf > smaf 40 chords and inside there check vibe and led

I found the option, but when I load it to my phone, it doesn't vibrate. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

With the 4.5 version there isn't even a vib option! Aarrg...!! Am I just so stupid or what! I did the same as with the 5.0 version. File Open....create Smaf -->> 40 chords....And there isn't a vib option. ××××!

Could it be that I have the wrong settings or something?

very strange.
Just drop the file to psm 4.5 it will start to play then go creat smaf 40chords
and chech both boxes vib and led .. save the new file .

It really doesn't have the option to add vib or led. Why does it work for everyone except me?!? With PSM 5.0 I can at least sellect the vib option, but then when I save it to my pc and load it to my phone, it doesn't vibrate. Hmmmm....

just a suggestion but wouldn't it be easiest if someone just made a sticky thread for the Polyphonic Ringtones an inside had a link to a thread dedicated to each category of music, ie hiphop/rap/r&b then rock, techno etc... ?? just thought it would be easier since this thread has hella pages to it an im sure no one wants to search through all the pages

if it already has a .mmf extension just rename it to .mid and your done... no conversions needed.

I think I found the problem.. When adding Vibration and LED to a ringtone, you need PSMPlayer 5.0 and the ringtone can't be longer than 300 whatever's long. So when you're in PSMPlayer, you need to cut the tone to 300.
