Use the software EasyGPRS and connect it to your phone either through a data cable of infrared adapter from your computer. Try Seraching next time as this thread alone has answered this numerous times

i just learned that if you change the extension of the mmf to mid in windows explorer, and email to your text messaging email addy (mine is mynumber@tmomail.net) and attach the midi it will download to your phone fine. *whew* mouthful there

I want to upload Kelly-Dillema and Eminem-Loose yourself (both are voice+melody..It sounds so good on my V200. You can really show off what samsung 40 poly can do compared to other 16 and under poly phones) but the max upload size is 15 Kb

I find this quite strange since 40 poly ringtone files are suppose to be bigger than 10 kb.. Most ringtones found here doesn't sound too much like 40 poly to me..I might be wrong..
Anyway this is I Love Rock n Roll and it contains slight bit of voice and rest is melody~

This is a definate 40 poly and works fine on my V200

how does one verify that some of these mmf 's are 40-chord polys? the reason i ask is that i've downloaded a few from this thread that say '40-chord' but when i play them in PSM Player only 16 channels show playing. is this a limitation of PSM player? any other program i could try that will show all 40 channels?

HEY EVERYONE, I havent been on here in ahwile and is amazing to see how many ringtones have been shared. I currently am using an S300 and waiting any day for the E715 (T MOBILE).
I am lookijng for any George Harrison poly tones esp.

Start PSM Player 3.80e. At the top menu bar, click 'Help' then click 'About'. Key in '186'. Now when you 'Create SMAF 16 or 40 chord', there will be options to enable Vibrate and LED coupling. The rest is up to you!

Yeah- its in my phone now... The first one you posted didnt even load in EasyGPRS

So I had to convert your original mmf to midi using psmplayer, then convert that midi to mmf using yamaha's ma3 tool- worked fine after that.

loads and plays in easygrps (2.1.7), and uploaded into my phone fine, vibe's and led blinks to the music (a bit off sync, but it does blink)

Fixed it.. my bad.

I found out what was wrong.

I "accidently" removed the .mmf from the filename before uploading it. Because hte filenamne was to long.

Can Someone help me solve a dilema, please?
I converted these 2 files with PSM player (V.3.8) and when i go to load onto my phone (e715) using EASYGPRS it gives me an error with the follwoing message:
"Fail to send melody file to phone", does anyone know who to get it to work and load onto the phone and what that error message actually means? why is it doing that? i did notice it does it with files that sound very close to the actual versions of these songs, perhaps it cant handle all the tones? HELP.. i will also attache both file so someone else can try, let me know waht happens ad maybe if it works you can send directly to me or post corrected files on here....

WAIT, couldnt attach says file to big , can someone give me their e mail address so i can send to you and then get it back to me?
still curious what that eroor mesage means in EasyGprs..

I'd bet the mmf's are too large... There is a limit to size- I think its something like 35k ??? something like that.

Try making it smaller and see if that helps.

(since you're using the E715 with 40chord, the following doesnt apply to you- but for others this might be helpful)

You'll also get this error when trying to send a mmf tone that is of great capability then the phone (ie: when trying to send a 40chord mmf to a S105 for example which is only capable of 16chord mmf's- I know because I used to get that error when I used my S105

)

I dont know. I have an E715... That would be a question for E700 owners. BUT: If you have an E700 and the LED is not blinking during the tone, then obviously something is different. Try adding more (or all channels) to the LED using VLplus (there is a link in this thread)

i got some mmf file that had been copy protected, i wanna change the mmf file so they can vibrate n led, but PSM Play just can do that because of the copy protection, can anyone tell me how to remove this copy protection?

you can use 2 programs...

1) freemmf (search google, you'll find it somewhere)

2) use vlplus, you can find links to it in this thread

FreeMMF will remove the copy protection, and allow you to use psmplayer to add vibe/led.

or you can use VLplus (v1.40 is better), and simply add Vibe+LED to the copy protected mmf, and with v1.40 you can select as many (or all) channels for either Vibe or LED... GOOD STUFF.. its in chinese, but its drag and drop and pretty easy to figure out.

Trying hard to make my own mmf ringtones. Can only get a second or 2 using PSM. Starting out with wav and mp3.... No idea what I am doing wrong. Getting a message Wave is not convertible for this format.

Trying to convert "our man flint" and some normal rings. mp3s and wavs here... http://dannywall.home.mindspring.com/

i make mine with wave files

convert them to 16 bit mono 8000khz

and then use some program from yamaha to convert to mmf
max 10 sec

or 40 kb

just search for the yamaha site on google

ok i have here a zip file i downloaded with over 2000 "mmf" files. i just bought my e105 yesterday, and haven't yet been able to figure out how to get them on my phone. am i going to have to buy a data cable, can someone host them on a wap site? which route should i go in?

New tool available at smaf-yamaha.com allows you to create mmf from mid files, add vibe + led to any/all/multiple channels. change intruments profiles, sounds, chars....

excellent way to play .mmf files.

ok here is my step by step process (i know there are ways to do it quicker..but this is the way it works for me)

1. Open mp3 file in audacity. Magnify the section I want to loop and highlight. Then export selection as wav.

2. Open new wav in sound recorder. increase volume by 25% two or sometimes three times depending if the song has less bass. Save file (do not convert..quality will be ****).

3. Open wav in cool edit pro. go to edit then select "convert sample type". Sample rate is 8000. just below make sure pre post filter is checked off and raise the bar to high quality - 999. Channels are set to mono and resolution is 16 bit.

4. still in cooledit click on effects, then the noise reduction tab then click on noise reduction. Click on get profile from selection. Then slide the noise reduction level tab so that it is halfway out of the green section. click ok. save file.

5. drag file into yamaha app. HERES THE KEY. dont check off the box to convert to 4hz. also if the mmf files are bigger than roughly 34k i dont think you can put it on the phone..BUt with the firmware flashing you can have them up to 64 k which is awesome.

A bit late, but on the E700 mmf's with Led won't work(i tried myself), but simply convert it again with psm player to mmf without Led and it should work. On my E700 it does. The same way i convert non vibrating to vibrating.

I've got Bauer on my phone and it sounds great(and it makes me laugh)but I bought this one and I can't exctract it from my phone because it is a other filetype or maybe it is copy protected?
I suggest you buy it cause quality will be better as when I create one(I think).

[/B][/QUOTE] ==>I think not in official ways.You can try but when I try to send mff to my phone(with irda and pims filemanager)I'll get an error FILE IS TO BIGGGGGGGGG.There are ways to update or change your firmware but I am not fammiliar with that.

about the bauer tone,I could MMS it to you if you don't mind to put your number on here.

Guys... this has been said before- but I think it was in the other (ma3 voice tones) thread....

Tones with only WAV samples CAN NOT vibe or led flash- period.

Only tones with MIDI channel tracks. The easy way to tell is to load the mmf in psmplayer- if ANY of the numbered channels are not grayed out, you can add VIBE or LED to that channel. If only the SD channel is on (not greyed out), you can NOT add V+L to that tone- sorry.

It sux, I know- but thats the way it is (for now anyway).

almost at the bottom of this page is a part for vibe and led.It's Deutch,but you will understand.At the downloadpage you can get vlplusV1.3.There also exists a version 1.4 but I don't know where to find that.Remeber what Toaster told,it only works when there is Midi in your song.
