Is there any device I can buy unbranded that runs Windows Mobile and supports 850/1900 UMTS?

Go to this site and put in your search criteria:

Note that there are two types of the Windows Mobile operating system.

There's one version of the HTC Touch Dual that is US 3G compatible, and runs WM Professional. A number of regional providers sell it, so you probably can get one decently online.

I don't want a phone with carrier branding. I would be OK with AT&T branding if someone could assure me I wouldn't have a problem using $15 MEdia Net with the phone.
BTW, who is regional GSM carrier in the US besides T-Mobile? I thought they were all CDMA.

There is an original Touch Diamond with AT&T 3G bands. Also, many of the HTC 3G phones before the Touch Diamond and Touch Pro carried USA 3G bands, including the unbranded Tilt and 8525.

My Motorola Q9h is unlocked, but I imagine you can find one on eBay without AT&T branding or load an unbranded firmware on it.

Palm Treo Pro. The GSM version was only sold unlocked + unbranded in the US. Works great on AT&T's 3G network and has WiFi as well. It runs WM 6.1 Professional.

Acer F900 (no keyboard) and M900 (keyboard). 850/1900/2100 UMTS, WiFi, 3.8 inch WVGA, WM 6.1, cooked lite roms available.

the htc touch diamond does it, but you have to make sure you get the NAM. It is unbranded, has wifi, exchange email support, xda allows you to custom flash unlimited roms, and runs the $15/mo plan very nicely.
