My Labrador was being a Lab and munched on my daughter's W385 thus rending the screen difficult to read. She is available for an upgrade at the end of January. What is my option to get her through January? I have a Palm Centro I am not using any more. Can I port her number to that phone? If so, will it lock her into that phone for 2 years? My dog thanks you for your time.

You can switch her phone online or by calling customer service. It does not lock her in for 2 years, you are free to change phones at any time. Many people on here switch phones daily haha.

Sounds good. By doing this, will she be stuck with the old phone for two more years or can she upgrade in January as scheduled? I just want to make sure she can get a brand new one in January at the discounted rate. Thank You!

Changing phones or even plans does not have any effect on contract, upgrade or any other dates at all.

The only thing that renews your contact theses days are equipment subsidies. Plan, ESN, and other changes do not. You can even do them online. Just make sure to either choose an unlimited data feature or a data block with a phone like the Centro.
