Any cure for a messed-up BIOS Update?

Hi all, successfully upgraded to A39 with no problems but when repeating process on second phone I pulled out the USB cable by mistake when first starting the WinMoDo upload. Naturally the BIOS is erased. Anyone know a cure or I have created an expensive pile of scrap?

Did you manage to notice if the "boot" sequence was installed in?
if it was then your phone can be updated again! if you pulled the cable out whilst the boot record wasn't finished then you have a dead phone!

Sadly it was as soon as the download started during the BOOT portion. Yep, the phone seems pretty dead to me

I've made a few phone calls and nobody locally seems to be able to reprogramme the phone. Anyone any clues as to where I can this phone restored within a reasonable distance of South Yorkshire?

Moral to this story is make sure NOTHING interrupts WinMoDo during a BOOT download.

the thing is that if you pull out the cable while the firmware is being erased, you would most probably try reflashing it but if Winmodo does not work, most probably your pcb is dead. Sorry dude!

A few discrete enquiries round the Students Union Bar found an Electronics wiz who copied the eprom settings off one phone and copied it to another. Got a fully restored GD87 despite my screwing it up. Cost me a couple of pints and a follow-up pack of Bud! Bargain!!!
