My wife has the C56 and I am planning to make the upgrade to an S56. Will the data cable and software for the C56 be usable for the S56?

You cannot use the C56 software with the S56.

Where is C56 software located on the Internet? Someone mentioned that you can do your own firmware upgrades for the C56, is this true?

I went to my-siemens.com where I thought it would be, but I only see stuff for the C55.. is this is the same software I could use for the C56??

To get to US phones on my-siemens, you have to change the location in the drop down box at the top left that initially says 'International'. Change that box to 'United States', and you'll see the C56.

Thanks for the reply.. I dont see any firmware on the site so I'm guessing there isnt any updates? It looks like just soem connectivity software..
