hey guys, im planning to get the sl55 for tmobile here in new york, before i buy it tho i wanted to know if anyone has it in the area and how their coverage is, if not in new york, w/tmobile in general. Also I need a personal opinion, is the phone worth getting or is the SE t610 better?
thanx for the 411,
dmitriy

Cant say anything about the RF in NY as i dont live there...
BUT i would definately go for the T610 instead. SL55 has been one big disapppointment for me except for the size/design issue

I work in the city and if this is what you were referring to, RF is excellent. There's not a place here that I go to where my signal drops unless you're deep underground, ex. department store basement etc.
Reception in highrise buildings is insanely great.
Cheers!

do anyone compare the RF with Nokia and Sony Ericsson, which one is better.
let say T610 Vs SL 55
7250 Vs Sl 55

I have both - and really like the sl55 much better for everyday use. The three things I like the most about the 610 is the ability to set the mail client to autocheck for e mail - the sl55 has a mail client but you can't auto ck. ( the tmo alerts suck big time and take forever to get to your phone -unlike verizon or sprint - but they have other problems - I also don't like using the sms as an e mail alert directly to my number which does work quickly but gives no header info). Anyway. the second thing I like about the 610 is the screen and lastly bluetooth - but the phone is a brick compared to the sl55 and the rf on the sl is much better - (though not as good as the 3650). The slider is sweet and the size fits in your front pocket with ease. My two nits on the sl55 is the speaker function - sounds too low and the ringers which are also too low. I love the ring volume on the Panasonic gd87 and my old Ericsson t66 - now those were loud ringers - never missed a call because I coudln't hear the phone. (my 2 cents)
