Question regarding PTT

I read several messages regarding a possible modification of current phones to use the PTT function, I have the Sanyo 5300 and if the upgrade or modification is possible then how or what button would you use on the 5300 to transmit...I just don't see the possibility of any current phones upgradable but correct me if I am wrong.
