You need to cover pins 4 and 10 on the phone. Working from left to right. Then CB2000 and crack2d will work.

As per here.

Also check what your software version is - crack2d won't work on software later than A22 (turn the phone on, then type *#9999# to see the software version). Some people have reported problems if the cable is on ports other than COM1, too.

got earlier firmware not sure wat number, had phone over 6months.tried marking off 4 and 10 pins on phone and connecting
cable using com 1 ,nothing, wat else can i try??

Posted by: Guy

Is your cable set to Com1?

Check in Windows to make sure.

when it says "power on handset" you are actually supposed to hit the power button on your phone to make it work with the serial cable~
try that, if it still doesn't work, then you have probably selected a wrong com port in windows or such, check it again to make sure it is correct!

use a different piece of software, got spunlock worked everytime so far if u need it ill post it up

ant ya ment to have SIM card out of the phone and there might be problems if you got windows XP if so use windows 98 drivers thats what I did and it works a treat

Well, I found out something. Not to worry about the Com Port. Just get to system and check out the USB com port then you select the com port when u use winmodo or cb2000.

is it really necessary to block out the pins ?

Posted by: ray5liang

Yes, you HAVE to block off the pin4 and pin10 for using CB2000 and crack2d, not for the winmodo.

ok, when I run Crack2d , it seems to work .. reads the IMEI number , the P1 and P2 ..

Press POWER ON........ OK!!!
Detecting phone type...GD87
Reading phone info...
IMEI: 351068981808662
Pr1: 042177803054370
Pr2: 042200101808660
Reading simlock data...
Communication error, try again!

should I flash the firmware back to A22 , then try again .. what do I block out the pins with ?

Posted by: ray5liang

Yes, you have to downgrade to A22 or lower, because this crack2d is only working on firmware A22 or lower, flash it back to A22, and try again.

You can use some kind of tape to just cover it up will do.

ok , it worked .. it gave me this

IMEI: 351068981808662
Pr1: 042177803054370
Pr2: 042200101808660
USER CODE: 0000
NET CODE: 55292009

do I have to do something to punch in the codes to get the EPPROM unlocked ?

Posted by: Guy

No, your EPPROM should now be unlocked. You can check with CB2000

Posted by: alanbr

Yes, your EEPRROm should already be unlocked. However, if your SIM is locked then you must unlock it. To do so, type 746 Menu Menu, then Network, and input the Net Code (55292009).

can this program unlock network so i can use my 02 chip on my vodafone phone as its a vodafone

Posted by: DoubleVision19

If the procedure is done correctly, you should be able to use it with any provider as long as with the GSM network...Alohas

This program unlocks both the SIM/network lock and the EEPROM.
