guys i'm new for P800... and i have some question...
first of all is there a browser that will allow me to browse fully the net? a brower that will support java?
second of all, i heard that people can record movies on P800, how can you do it? what do i need to download and what setting i need to input?

also i'm wondering what kind of cool stuff p800 can do that a regular customer won't notice from regular usage. like if i download any extra program and stuff like that maybe then it will do something cool...
just give me your suggestions to what you did with your p800, like what programs and feautres you unlocked.

Thanks

Flex.

Try the Opera browser. Seems to me the most complete one you can get.

I am amble to even admin my whole webservers with it. So it supports secure areas, pretty powerful!

Only I think it supports not full Java, but if I findout more, I will let you know.

ok guys where can i donwload opera?
and my phone crashed on me (i'm still laughing about it)
it told me that there was some error and i need to formot the internal memory... well now i lost whatever was on it when i just got it, so my second question is where can i get all the stuff that was on the phone when i just got it it, like the movie, the audio, the two games and etc.

You can dowload opera at www.opera.com

One advise I can give you, keep as much free internal memory as you can. Filling up internal memory will most probably cause your P800 to crash more often.
I choosed to install any new program to my memory stick, I have yet to experience a crash on my P800. My internal memory has 9310 Kb free or 76% and my phone works really good.
Also, always backup your P800 before installing a new program.

P800 comes with only 7 mb free when you buy it... plus if i check under my storage manager, it showed me that i got 5 mb of used space for messages... but i checked every possible menu and i didn't see any msg in the msgs... so that took lots of space from my phone, i try to save all the pictures on my external memory.

Also how can i Bring back to life all the files that got lost cuz of the format?
if i flash the phone, will that do the job?
and how can i back up the phone?

The P800 has 12 mb of internal memory. I only use 24% and have a little over 9 mb free internal memory.
I don't think 7 mb is too bad and your phone should be fine like this.

You can backup/restore and sync your P800 with your computer after installing the software that is on the CD which came with your P800.

Not sure about what to do to bring back what you are missing.

As for space in Messages, look for items in Sent Folder, and those MMS Templates. I removed all MMS Templates (I don't use MMS a lot). I keep purging messages from both Inbox and Sent Items.

Maybe it'll help...

i cleaned my msgs... like there was nothing else there to clean... i check in every possible category. the only msgs that were there, were sms but from sim... so it should had taken any space on the phone memory.

From my experience if you use e-mail and download the attachment to your P800. It saves the attachments in a folder. I only found this out after using file manager. I have removed everything from my P800. All my ringtones, pictures apps etc are stored on MSD's. The only thing I have installed on my P800's internal memory is BugMe because that will not work if its stored on the external memory. You can download file manager for free from www.my-symbian.com

Don't forget, not all P800 have 12 megs of memory. The chinese market ones come with only 9 megs.
