I am looking for a data cable for this phone preferably in the GTA
but not exclusivly. If any one knows where to get one or has one for sale please contact me.

I was sold an aftermarket usb data cable and software in Europe
but I do not know how to use it and am afraid to somehow damage the phone. any advice would be appreciated.

You can always try Pacific Mall but I think your best bet would be buying on the web as it would be cheaper.

Allready looked at Pacific Mall but to no avail, and have not found it on any web site US or Canada + many us stores are not set up to ship to Canada( by the way which other models might have the same connectors so that wire need not be specific to s-55 ?) . Only option as I see it is to order from a European web site, but it becomes disproportunatly expensive...

or find someone local to help set up the phone, for a fee of course,
as I am sure some people have the necessary cable.

Not that it applies to me since I already have serial cable and a BT adapter for the S55 but that IS a good question to ask.

How DO you setup the S55 to connect to your PC using a USB cable?

If I remember correctly, SDS only offers the following choices when setting itself up:

1. Serial Cable
2. Infrared
3. Bluetooth

And while I'm at it

, my BT adapter utilizes a virtual COM port to connect to the S55. How does one use the BT option while setting up SDS without mapping it to a COM port?

Doesn't Expansys carry them? I haven't checked the website myself but I have heard that they carry them... not sure tho. Gives me something to check out later on today.
