Extracting pic from a sent MMS

i got my p800 as a present from my uncle back in HK. he used it for a bit and took a pic of my aunt and sent it as an MMS. now how do i extract the pic and save it? Rogers does not support MMS, so how do i go about this?

hm. could it be that i have R1D firmware on my P800? i go to messages > MMS > i select outbox from the pulldown menu > select the msg > click on the pic, but i don't get the "save as" option. any more clues?

I have R1B and I can save attached images from MMS that I sent.

If you open the sent mms, under edit, there's an item "Save image"

wow. that is so weird. i don't have such a option in the edit menu. i have is:

Cut - can't select
Copy - can't select
Paste - can't select
Select All - can't select
Page order
Background colour
Delete page
Zoom
Preferences
Help

hmm... must be the mms template? I tried doing another mms message using one of the templates provided with the p800. the edit menu changed. I have the following in the edit menu now:

The ones in Italics are available only if you attached audio to your mms file.

Save audio
Save ring signal
Copy (grayed out)
Select All (grayed out)
Zoom
Preferences (grayed out)
Help.

Now when I tapped on the image on the same mms, I got

Save audio
Save ring signal
Save image
Save wallpaper
Copy
Select All (grayed out)
Zoom
Preferences (grayed out)
Help

I guess you could try tapping on different parts of your mms and see if the edit menu changes. Strange.

hm, this is odd. i click on the side and centre of the pic and no "save image". i get the following menu:

Add text above
New image
Edit image
Edit time
Delete
Copy

i did manage to copy the pic to the jotter though. is there a way of transporting that to my pc?

you could beam it to your pc using infrared or bluetooth if you have it. I've tried looking for the file on the phone memory and memory stick using "my p800" on my desktop when my phone is on it's cradle but couldn't find it. I guess it's saved somewhere in the system.
