Which port to use with USB connect on Panasonic PC edit tool?

I have had several people tell me that they use the Panasonic PC edit tool with their USB cable, but i cant get my PC to recognize my USB cable or even my USB ports. How can I get it to do that? Or what settings do I use?

Go to Start>Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager and click the plus sign next to Ports. Now check to which COM Port your MAT USB-to-Serial Bridge is connected. That is the COM Port that you should use with the Panasonic Edit Tool software.
