Program a pause?

Been using the S40 for a long time, but still can't determine if it's possible to program a "pause" in my numbers (voice mail, credit cards, etc) Anyone have some tips?

Simple, press the # twice quickly and it will insert a P in the number. This is the pause.
Press it 3 times and it puts a ? in, I have no idea why.

the s40 puts in a ? in order to let you choose some numbers in place of the ?, which represents the place for different company telephonenumbers. when you choose a number with a ? in it, you can determine which telephone to call.
