Anyone else try to upgrade a boost 95 to the new .04? Everytime I try idenupdate skips the screen where it gives you the software options, then goes right to the end and says that a partial download is complete, but it wont upgrade to the .04. Any ideas?

Maybe u messed up a previous download of some software or something. Just go to Iden Update Folder thru My Computer. Then go to Users folder and delete all those files. Then go to backup folder and delete all those. Start from scratch.

01.04 doesn't do anything worth upgrading, but if you must, Try what I said. it doesn't improve signal strength, no matter what was said.

OK still nothing, I have tried everything and for some reason IdenUpdate just skips over the software page and goes to the end where it says "partial download complete". Does it make a difference that I am upgrading from .02 to .04? I have upgraded 2 other 95's on the same computer and they went to .04 with no problem. They both had the .01 software before the upgrade. Also if I did want to go to the .01 could I used the Utility upgrade for the 95 or would that mess it up?

Boosts have a different CSD Ver.

Boost uses C27.05.0x (x = a number from 0 to 9)

Nextel uses C01.05.0x

You need to ethier update the CSD to a nextel version via RSS or just make u backup in iDEN Update and then edit the.spf file to .04 and restore it...

.spf method is easier.

how would I edit the spf file to .04? I have down graded the phone to .01, the codeplug is 19.00 and csd c27.05.07. Anytime I use idenupdate it wont give me the .04 option. Anyone else having this problem or am I just loosing my touch.

I used the iden write program, it got me to 85.01.00, then I tried Idenupdate and the only option it gave me was .01, so I did that then tried idenupdate again and it just skips right over the software screen and goes to the java download screen. It's not even like I really need the .04, but this is just pissin me off.

Im using RSS 011402, and I cant find the right CSD to write into the phone. (Nextel uses C01.05.0x)
