Thank you for the link

I see that http://www.p800er.com/product.asp?id=54 has them in stock again... here's your chance to get the best screen protecter out there IMO

BTW You might want to check with www.virtualdynamix.com if you're looking for a US dealer... AFAIK they might be carrying it in the near future... give-um a call.

Anyone know how easily the Overlay+ gets worn out? I have a rough messed up spot on my brando where I typically write lowercase letters, and it's only been a month

Had my MFO+ for about a month now - no problems. I think the difference may be the rough surface on the brando tends to get abraded by the stylus. The O+ is smooth, so there's nothing to abrade.

same prob i had with the brando... i'm using write rights for now (for the ipaq, so i'm actually using the old brando as a template to cut them to size) until i get an overlay+ a little later

the screen really gets messed up if you choose not to use a screen protector or is it just for caution

Good question, anyone out there using a naked p800? For how long, and is your screen scratched?

Posted by: hardballer

I'm using a naked p800 and have owned it for about 2 months. There is, like you said, a rough hazy scratched up spot where I normally write lowercase (and therefore MOST of...) letters. Since the stylus is plastic and the screen is glass, I would consider this issue covered under warranty since IF it were susceptible to scratches then SE should have addressed that or included overlays for their phones.

I'm going to see about sending my phone in to get the LCD replaced for that reason and then put a martins ovelay on it right when I get it back to protect my beautiful screen.

Reply if you've had similar problems!!

any news about your lcd replacement?

Posted by: hardballer

SonyEricsson got the phone yesterday and I'm expecting an answer soon. I call their repair department everyday so far now , and they are actually supposed to call me when they fix it so I know but we'll see.

Keep your fingers crossed for me ...

Ironically, I got my P800 back quicker than expected....

SE didnt even touch my screen saver despite my request to at least call me if they aren't able to replace it. They upgraded my software but did not even touch the screen. Poor service as far as I can tell.

The new software works great though.

Just tonight I was putting on my new screen protector by Martin Fields. (Great protector by the way). NOW, after browsing for a while on the phone, the screen is no longer touch sensitive!!! I am going to HAVE TO SEND THIS DANG THING BACK IN!!! (( The worst part is, there is no way to back up anything I've added since my phone device is locked and I have no way to type in my password!!

Maybe NOW they will replace the damn lcd.

SE support seems pretty terrible. My brother sent his phone in because his contacts file kept getting corrupted, and SE concluded that a firmware update would fix the problem. So after a week he calls them and they say his service status has been changed to "Waiting for part". A part. For a firmware upgrade.

After 2 more weeks they send him a new phone with the old firmware. As far as anyone can tell they lost his phone in the first week.

Well, there it went! Another 20 bucks down the tube because SE will not pay for me to send my phone BACK to them since its "a different issue". Hell, thats WHY they should do it!

ANyway, I'll post when I get my phone back in a week or a week and a half and let you all know whether or not I get my LCD fixed and/or replaced this time

Wish me luck!
