Problems loading a MIDI onto i90c with iIJAL6

Hi all--

I have two I90c phones that I got at roughly the same time. On my phone I was able to convert some midi files to type 0 and load them as ringtones just fine using iIJAL6. However my fianceé's phone (same model, bought at the sametime, etc) refuses to load any MIDI. iIJAL6 connects, I can see all the files on her phone, but anytime I try to load a MIDI (i even tried the ones that I had put on my phone), it says:

Quote:
The type of file you are loading is not supported in this phone. <filename> can not be loaded

No matter if it's a type 0, 1, or 2 MIDI. I'm getting a little frustrated. Does the firmware version matter? How can I check what software version the phone is running. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance!

Press in a quick sequence:

# * Menu >

that is Pound, Star, Menu Button, and Right arrow...
You should see "Trace Mode"...
Select Unit Info then "Software"....
You should see "Software ver" then a number...
That is your software....
Need to make sure your software version is at least 76.01.01 ...Hope this helps!

Thanks for the quick reply guys, I found that I do indeed have to update the software on the phone in question.

However the iden site seems to be malfuntioning.. i ordered (free) the update software but after you receive the download instructions, the webpage it loads doesn't work. I turned off all the ActiveX blockers so it would load properly.. it makes a backup image of the phone just fine but it can't connect to iDen to download the new software. Does anyone have a link to a standalone copy of the latest R76.02.03 software?

I just can't win
