SL55 for sale for a good $?

I've been eyeing on this little SL55 since it's been announced, however the cheapest I've seen and heard is still this store in NYC china town selling for $520, unlocked, with no network sign on. If I sign a network contract with him it will cost me $150! Then there's this other contact that might be selling it from the distributor for cheap.

What shall I do? Any comment? What's the cheapest price you all have heard?

this is definitely the cheapest i've seen with a contract. i was about to call cell4sale, but they want $275 with a t-mo contract. i'm glad i checked back in the forum before i called them!

can you tell me where this store is in chinatown??? if it truly is this cheap, i will go there tonight! and what carriers are they offering - hopefully t-mo?

well, i called the chinatown store and the lady there said that the phones were arriving today at their brooklyn branch, and to call them for rates and for color availability.

called the brooklyn store, and the guy there said that there were none in stock, that he didn't know when he'd be getting more, and said that it was policy to not discuss price over the phone.

hmm ...

updaTe on gl wireless:

i called again yesterday, after being told earlier this week that the shipment was coming in. i was told that the store will no longer stock the sl55, and that with a contract the price would be around $300. the guy said that this was due to how the price/demand was going crazy for the sl55.

he did say that if i wanted to, i could come into the store and they'd do a special order for me. it wouldn't cost extra, but i'd have to come in, instead of dealing with them over the phone/email.

also, cell4sale.net just raised their price from $275 to $329 with contract.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
