Hey folks,

It's so pissed me off that my car audio was stolen by those fuking thieves last weekend. It's just a careless mistake that i forgot to roll my windows up i parked my car on the street across my house and in the next morning i went to my car 'n "WTF..... someone stole my car audio......" they're worth around a grand, i missed my Kicker amp and my Boston Acoustics subs......

Anyway, that's a lesson for me. Should i report it to police?

thanks for listening my story

That sucks man. Report it to the police.

I don't see how rolling your windows all the way up would have prevented the theft. They probably knew that you had a system in there...def report it to the police. Do you have insurance coverage for your stereo equipment?

man...i hate that...sorry to hear that, if you do claim it...how does it affect your insurance premiums? I would claim it regardless, just leave out the "open window " part and say your alarm ....you didnt hear

good luck

Sorry to hear..
Reporting it to the police, and reporting it to the insurance are two different things.

If you are going to place a police report, its best to have pictures and serial numbers. If you make a claim with your insurance, they will most likely cut you a check, but your premiums may go up.

Comprehensive (theft, vandalism, etc) claims do not usually increase insurance premium. If you had the additional coverage for the system, I'd call the insurance company and have them replace it.

what's the point of reporting it to the police?
it's not like they'll get it back for you, or even bother looking into who did it.

Unfortunately that i don't have full coverage insurance, my car insurance is just a liability coverage w/ minimum benefits i didn't want to buy full coverage insurance cos my car isn't a brand new; plus w/ my age now <30 the full coverage insurance would be killing me so i decided a liability is enuff for me. I didn't contact my automobile insurance yet..... not sure they cover this kind of things or not. Yes i'm pretty sure that those bastards knew i have a nice system and i noticed b4 my car audio got stolen that while i was on the way home on my street there're some *****s (sorry if offended someone) seemed paying attention at my car when i playing loud music, sometimes those kids walked by my car parking in front of our house 'n they're staring inside of my car to check out to see what i've got. I doubt those fuking kids stole my stuffs.

rip, i just have a miminum benefits.... so it's kinda tough whether my insurance would pay my lost stuffs or not. I must say that those fuking thieves are pro thieves.

It's true that there really isn't anything they can do, because really what can they do? But reporting it could help him get his stuff back if he still has the serial numbers, and gets lucky. If the police arrest the theives for something else, and find stuff thaty they think is steolen, they check the numbers with those that are reported stolen. If they find a match, the rightful owner is contacted, and he gets his stuff back. The odds might be against it, but it's still a chance, with nothing to lose, and many insurance companies want a police report before paying a claim. And, people not bothering to report thefts like this, are the reason that you can find a lot of stuff at police auctions.
