Hi,
I am in the process of deciding what is the best rated phone that handles 1900 MHz AND 850 MHz. Here are my requirements:
- Excellent voice quality
- Excellent RF signal
- Excellent durability and reliability.
- Color Screen (a plus)
- Supports Midi ring tones (makes the phone sound nicer)
- Voice Dialing (makes life easier when dialing)
- Low SAR Rating (lower the better)
I have made a short list of the models I am considering:
Seimens S56
Nokia 3590
Nokia 3595
Nokia 6200
Nokia 6590i
Nokia 6800
Motorola C350G
Motorola T720G
Motorola C330
What phones would you suggest and why?

I would go in this order (in my opinion of course)
1. Nokia 6590i
2. Siemens S56
3. Nokia 6200
I would personally go with the Nokia 6590, however, this does not come with a color screen. The call quality and RF is excellent and it's too bad Nokia's line of phones don't have the same performance in this department. I would then go with the Siemens S56 because the call quality and RF is up there with the Nokia 6590 except you can use a camera attachment and it comes with a primitive color screen (256 colors). Other than that, the Nokia 6200 comes in 3rd due to all the unusual bugs this phone came with (at least the AT&T version I tested was shotty) Hope this helps!!

I'll second the recommendation of the Nokia 3600. It has excellent RF performance. GSM 850/1900. I hate the keypad, but it is a small price to pay for a phone that otherwise works so well.
My second choice would probably the Siemens S56.
I'm not all that happy with the 6200. The audio quality isn't very good.
The Nokia 6590i is a good basic phone. It is small and has excellent RF performance. It also supports the AMR codec as well as EFR which can improve performance in places with marginal signal. Note that although most GSM 850/1900 phones have AMR, the Siemens S56 doesn't. No colour screen and no midi ringtones on the 6590i (two of the bullet items on your list). Data connectivity options are limited to IR.
The 3590 doesn't offer any advantages over the 6590i other than price. The RF isn't quite as good (still quite good), it is bigger, it lacks an IR port.
The RF performance on the Motorola T720g isn't very good. I'd stay away from it. Great sound quality, though, in the presence of good signal.
I'm only commenting on phones that I've actually used above. The 3595 and 6800 get good reviews. I somehow doubt that any of the Motorolas are a good choice given my recent experience with Motorola. I also can't comment on how well voice dialing works on any of these phones because I don't use it.
