Originally posted by prajna i have made a page of ringtones for the vx6000, but i am outside the coverage area, and cannot test them. there are several (15) ringtones on the page, including phish, ice cube, the AOL "you've got mail," and many many more. would someone like to be a guenea pig for me and try them, please... the link is http://tones.dulciprajna.net/ tyia, ~ prajna |

Originally posted by Bitter Muppet Also, I have tried your tutorial on your page about making the tones myself and have no luck. I have run into conflict with a few of the instructions. |

Originally posted by prajna the site that explains how to make the files is not mine. i can try to see if i can rewrite that myself, but that is the document i used to create these. i do not have a data cable, so the GAGIN part of that help file is of no use to me. i started w/the section about how to make ringtones. sound forge is availible to demo from their site (click on link). its not easy, but you have to listen to your music and think, "if this snipit would repeat itself, would it sound seemless." i have a good ear and strong music background, so that is no problem for me. if this doesnt help, bookmark my page, and i will rewrite what is on that other page as a page of my own, and hopefully that will help you... ~ prajna |

Originally posted by mofroe You need a program like PSMplay to shorten it, but it is pretty short already. I have the same file on my phone and it works great. |

Here's to you for all the great ring tones and the huge amount of time you spend posting them and getting them out here to us! That said do you have Bad Boys. I guess it is the theme song for the show Cops. I would love to have that one. Thanks for any thing you can dig up on this.
Thanks so much for the Bad Boys tune but I can't get it to play once I download it. This is the first time I have downloaded one from here so, am I doing right? I said to save it to my desktop which it did. Then I extracted it and saved that to the desktop. It won't play for me. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help!!!

Ok, I did adjust some settings and now the song plays fine on wmp but when I try to send it to my phone the file attachment drops. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help you can give me! I know sometimes it has to have a subject if sent through e-mail so I made sure it does. I have tried to send it via vzwpix and regular e-mail. HELP!
Well I FINALLY got this ringer on my phone. Thank you so much to everyone who tried to help me. It was a huge chore but I was NOT going to give up. After many setting adjustments I still had to download Quicktime to use the vzwpix site. Anyway it worked and I am happy to have it. Thanks again!
