Which one? The Siemens is $10.

Go with the Siemens. It is a great deal and has great reception. Plus, it is small and rounded and fits discretely in your pocket.

Ok....I agree with Yeti that the c56 is small, cheap and gets good rf. But before you buy it, play with the menu....it's HORRIBLE. Not to mention that it feels as cheap as it is.
The 3595 is a solidly built inexpensive phone with great rf and a nice color screen. It's 100 times better phone in my opinion.

GO for the Siemens C56...great rf, nice features, easy menu navigation, small and light design.

I have both and both have their good and bad
Nokia: great battery life, easy navigation, reception weak in areas I've been, big and heavy
siemens: battery life sucks and I've tried different phones and batteries, would power off automatically, speakerphone is cool, small light and compact.
junked both and went w/ Verizon (awesome) and an LG phone (awesome)

The Nokia 3595 has quite a frequent problem with the sim card recognition. Once in a while out of no where, it'll say "Insert SIM card".
Just this past weekend, I've had about 5 customers complain about that.
Siemens phones aren't very good either. There have been a lot of problems with their displays.
So I wouldn't get either.

Having used a Nokia for most of my cellular life, I decided to go with a Siemens C56. Here are some cons of the C56:
1) Don't like that fact that I can't store multiple number (or other info) under a single name in the address book. One has to make separate entries for additional information for one person. My biggest dislike!
2) When entering and storing address book text information that is reasonably long, once stored, it doesn't seem to display the entire stored text entry in the address book when scrolling though the address book. Meaning that, entering someone's full name, that could be lengthy, followed by "Home" or "cell" seems to be cut off and only followed by "..."symbols.
3) Name and numbers are always stored alphabetically, even if your address book names and numbers are store under "group" in the address book. I rather have name and numbers stored in my preference of order, not the default, alphabetically.
4) Writing text with T9 is not that fast as Nokia, especially inserting punctuation marks.
5) Ringtones don't seem to be loud enough, and polyphonic ringtone do sound like a distance radio playing. Wish ther was some regular monophonic ringtones that one can set to hear ringing while the phone is the pocket, or hear over the sound of traffic.
6) Ringtone profiles that one chooses are not diplayed on the screen like Nokia are. My "Loud" ringtone setting verse my "Quiet" ringtone setting are not displayed and easily forgotten until when I'm in the quiet resturant and having forgotten to reset the ringtone profile of Loud to quiet, sure seems very loud then a call does come in at that moment.
7) Battery low warning comes on only when there's only a few minutes on standby. Way to short. An hours notice would be better.
8) Send SMS are not saved automatically on outbox.
Maybe with some more use I can write some pros, which I know there are, of this phone.

i'd go with nokia's. they're reliable. i have the 3390 and it's been pretty good.. dropped it a million times.. alarm always works without a fail.. good rf..
i've also had a siemens.. and i think they're annoying as hell.. menus are difficult to use.. they are nice looking tho (but what good is that? i choose functionality over asthetic appeal). they have a lot in it, but usually useless stuff..
NOKIA!
