how do i convert mp3 files so they can be played on my p800?

You don't have to. Just drop the mp3s in the audio directory and it'll play by default

P800 has a built in mp3 player, so u dont have to convert anything. Just transfer your mp3's in the audio folder using the sync software that came with the phone.
