So, I am thinking about taking the p800 plunge. Can you basically write a text message on the p800 as fast as you can on a phone like the 8390? If so I think I will be getting one....

Yes you can and maybe faster.

I can write my text with 80% accuracy without looking. Especially in my classes with my retractable ball pen. So its like writing as per normal for me which is pretty fast.

I have a Nokia 3650 right now that I am selling and I am considering the P800 or the T610. One of the main features that I use ALL the time is the sms messaging. That was an absolute nightmare on the 3650...

It depends, if you are in a safe environment, for example, a car you are not driving, you can enter a text message fairly fast with the stylus, but not as fast as you could with a Nokia.

If you are driving your car, forget it. After 2 days with the P-800, I started carrying my 6590 just to respond to text messages while I am on the road.

I do not text a lot in the car, but would be wanting to text a lot without carrying around another phone while at work.

Its easy to text while not walking. If you're familiar with the multitap input, then it shouldn't be a problem. My P800 is flipless, so most of the time I'm writing my sms.

Should be easier to multitap with the flip i guess.
