I have a sanyo 6000 and it shuts off randomly by itself. Does anyone have this problem? I bought this phone off of ebay so will sprint still give me a refurb or new phone if my phone is found defective? thanks.

Haven't had that specific problem, but the following has happened to me:

Once I turned it off and returned a few hours later to find it stuck on the "goodbye" screen. When I tried to turn it back on, the battery was drained.

Another time, it was on and appeared to be functioning normally... until I tried to make a call. It couldn't seem to connect to the network. So I turned it off and on again. It worked fine, BUT I had a bunch of messages from people who couldn't get through to me earlier. Also, my battery indicator (which had been full) was almost empty, and a few minutes later it conked out on me.

Anyone else having these types of problems????

On my third 6000 I had that problem.....It would just randomly shut off and then I couldn't turn it on unless I plug it into a power socket. But the two phones I had before that didn't do that....hmmm....go see sprint, tell them that your phone is tweakin' out and if they can't find out what's wrong with it and find it defective, they might give you a new one if its still in warranty. At least that's what they did for me! (Maybe its a firmware problem...phone #3 was the one that had a different firmware version than the other two....)
